How We Rate Products

We rate a product on a variety of factors. One of the most important part of our rating process is user survey input that they’ve experienced using a product that’s listed in our index.

Users can get products reviewed by filling out our “Get Your Product Reviewed Forum”. Once inquiry about a particular product is significant we will attempt to obtain the product and do an person analysis.

Users can take the product experience survey here. The expanded format user survey is available by contacting us.

Ratings are updated regularly depending on submission volume. Generally, the more input the faster FungusWise.com updates its displayed ratings.

Explanation of Rating Criteria:

– Overall Rating: Is a simple addition of the three primary criteria fields below and then divided by three. It is intended to give the site user an average of the other rating metrics.

Treatment Success: This value ranges between 1-100% or N/A if insignificant data (below 10 valid user surveys).  Value is determined by the data submitted by users for the fields “Your Feeling About The Product” and “Do You Feel This Product Is Effective?”. These fields are assigned numerical values based on the available responses of ‘Dislike’ ‘Like’ ‘Unsure’ for “Your Feeling About The Product”, ‘Disagree’ ‘Agree’ ‘Unsure’ for “Do You Feel This Product Is Effective?”. Each valid user’s input is aggregated, then divided by the total unique survey users, and then ran through an algorithm that sets the adjusted percentile curve. Output from this equation is displayed as ‘Treatment Success’.

Treatment Time: This value ranges between 1-100% or N/A if insignificant data (below 10 valid user surveys).  Value is determined by the data submitted by users for the fields “Do You Feel This Product Is Effective?” and “How Long Did You Use This Product For?”. These fields are assigned numerical values based on the available responses of ‘Dislike’ ‘Like’ ‘Unsure’ for “Your Feeling About The Product” and ‘1-2 Months’, ‘3-4 Months’, ‘5-6 Months’, ‘7-8 Months’, ‘Longer Than 9 Months’. Each valid user’s input is aggregated, then divided by the total unique survey users, and then ran through an algorithm that sets the adjusted percentile curve. Output from this equation is displayed as ‘Treatment Time’.
